Black Magic Kale Seeds

Black Magic sets long, slender, absolutely enormous (to 2 feet or more each!) leaves that begin a grayish shade of green, then mature to a rich, deep tone of forest-green that looks black from a distance. Begin the seeds indoors, transplanting when they have at least 2 sets of true leaves. Space the plants 3 feet apart in sun-soaked, light soil. Frost sweetens the flavor.
